Theresa Packett
Corporate Specialist/Payroll Manager

Theresa has been with the company for over 20 years. She began her employment with the company in 2000 in the Accounts Receivable Department and then took over as the Payroll Specialist in 2005. From 2008 until now she has also occupied the role of Corporate Specialist. Working with the company on the Assisted Living Community and the Personal Care Agency sides has given her a great appreciation of what the Health Care industry can provide to clients, residents, and their families knowing that our company, which has been family-run for over 50 years, has provided the care and support that is needed whether it is the privacy of their own home or in one of our Assisted Living Communities. Theresa explains, “It has been an honor to work with a team of dedicated people full of passion and enthusiasm for every person that has been with our company over the years.”

Since beginning with the company in 2001, Lynn has been in multiple departments. She is a dedicated team player and has been a great asset over her 15 years.

Deborah began American Retirement Homes in March 2015 as an Executive Administrative Assistant. She also works throughout the community as the Community Liaison for the Northern Neck of Virginia.

Brooke Belfield

Accounts Receivable Assisted Living Communities – Payroll Back Up

Brooke has been with Team Teal since 2015. She predominantly works with our Assisted Living Communities in the billing and payroll departments. She also assists with processing payroll for all caregivers and management team members.

Whitney Sparks

Whitney Sparks
Accounts Receivable/Medicaid Specialist

Whitney started her journey with Team Teal in 2009 as a caregiver in our Alleghany office, She worked there as she attended school. After graduation, she took a break from AmeriCare but rejoined the team in 2015 as a caregiver for our Bedford office. She then moved into the role of Staffing Coordinator in 2016. In January of 2017, she transferred to the Home Office to work as a Medicaid Billing Specialist.

Dana Howell

Human Resources/Payroll Specialist

Dana joined American Retirement Homes in November of 2017 as a Human Resource Specialist and has now transitioned over to Human Resource Specialist – Payroll Specialist for AmeriCare Plus, LLC as well as American Retirement Homes, Inc. Dana grew up in Southampton County, VA, and moved to this area in Westmoreland County in October of 2017. She has two children, three granddaughters, and a grandson with whom she enjoys spending her free time.

Bill Hurt
Bill Hurt, CSAVP of Operations
Bill Hurt began working with AmeriCare Plus over 19 years ago. He started as an Administrator in one of our 6 assisted living facilities before becoming an Agency Manager. Bill later became a Certified Senior Advisor and moved into the role of Corporate Regional Manager. He now occupies his time as the VP of Operations, as well as serving on the Board of Directors for the Virginia Association of Personal Care Providers as their President for 6 years and currently as the past President. Bill has his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and over 40 years of business management experience working with customers and team members. He sits on several advisory committees throughout the Commonwealth and is a strong advocate for the Personal Care Industry with our Legislators in Richmond. Bill has been married to his wife Kim for 39 years and has one daughter and one granddaughter. He enjoys working with his Team Teal Family to ensure that our customers are receiving the very best in-home assistance possible and ensuring that our caregivers are working in a positive environment.
Rachel Byers
Rachel ByersTraining and Support Specialist
Rachel Byers serves as Corporate Trainer and Support Specialist for AmeriCare Plus for the Western and Eastern Regions. She has been with American Retirement Homes for 7 years where she started her career as an Agency Manager in our Charlottesville Agency in 2014. Then transitioned into our Corporate Trainer and Support Specialist in 2016 and then became a Certified Corporate Trainer in 2017. As Corporate Trainer and Support Specialist, Rachel trains all of our new agency management team members throughout the state as well as provides support to all of our agencies and team members. Rachel also was the recipient of our 2018 SMILE award. Rachel is passionate about helping seniors and her community. In her free time, she enjoys times spending with her family, doing church actives and DIY projects.
