AmeriCare Plus is a trusted provider of Homemaker Home Health Aide Care authorized by the Veterans Administration. We collaborate with the Veterans Administration offices located in Hampton, Virginia; Richmond, Virginia; Salem, Virginia; and Raleigh, North Carolina.

Through this program, a Homemaker or Home Health Aide will visit the homes of veterans to deliver personal care services and assistance with activities of daily living (ADL). This service is particularly beneficial for veterans who may be isolated or when their primary caregiver is overwhelmed.

While Homemakers and Home Health Aides are not nurses, they receive supervision from registered nurses who assess the daily living needs of veterans.

Homemaker and Home Health Aide services can be used in conjunction with other Home and Community-Based Services, with specific offerings varying by location. These services can serve as an alternative to nursing home care or provide respite care at home for veterans or their family caregivers.
